Adriatic Azure, Montenegro. Part I: The Sea

The Adriatic is probably the most azure and beautiful sea. It's a matter of taste, of course. But the marvellous coastline adds much to the impression. Below are the photos from Montenegro.

Look into the Adriatic!

Intriguing bays and armlets make the coastline a border of a fairy land.

It's worth lifting one's eyes and peering into the distance, too.

And here a view "from the other side" - a view of the shores from the water.

The sea azure is often animated by people enjoying their vacations.

Everything is in harmony... Lilac and blue flowers in the foreground, the patch of the sea in the background...

What is the above-mentioned patch?...

...It is the famous Bay of Kotor in the north of the country.

There are always more mysteries to be revealed...

Vysehrad Hill

Vysehrad Hill lying south of the old centre of Prague on the Vltava River is probably a location wherefrom Prague began.

“Vysehrad” means “Upper Castle” in Czech. In the early period of the Czech history there was a rulers’ residence here.

The Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul dominates the fortress’ complex.

On Vysehrad Cemetery many prominent Czechs found eternal peace.

Rozhmberk nad Vltavou

Rozhmberk (or Rozmberk) nad Vltavou is a charming town in the south of Czech Republic, situated on the Vltava River not far from Cesky Krumlov. 

One of the sights here is the church of St. Nicholas.

The river is as calm as the town itself.

It's pleasant to walk among old houses.

The central point of the town is the old (dating to the 13th century) Rozhmberk Castle.

A rose was on the coat of arms of the ancient owners of the castle - the Rosenberg (in German), or Rozmberk (in Czech), family. The family name means "Mount of roses", what is really a case now.
