On the Vltava River

The beautiful capital of Czech Republic is located on the Vltava River, the longest river of the country.
An amazing view of Prague lying on both sides of the Vltava opens up before one's eyes from Petrin Hill in the centre of the city, not far from Prague Castle.

South of the center, and also on the river, lies Vysehrad Hill, probably a location wherefrom Prague began.

A lot of bridges cross the Vltava. From Legion Bridge, for example, one can admire Prague Castle and the most famous of the city's bridges - Charles Bridge.

Prague Castle is magnificent, and, being more than 1000 years old, is still a residence of the head of the state.

The symbol of the Czech capital is Charles Bridge, with its famous statues, connecting the area of Prague Castle and the medieval part of the city - Old Town.

Whatever one looks for in Prague, it's impossible to avoid being on the Vltava River.
